Intranets.com Launches New Professional Edition of Market Leading Intranet Offering

Responding to User Demand, Intranets.com Introduces Premium Product Offering

BOSTON (April 16, 2001) - Responding to overwhelming user demand, Intranets.com today officially launched the enhanced, advertisement free Professional Edition of its Web-based intranet for small businesses and groups. Intranets.com provides hosted intranets to more than 400,000 businesses and groups, and will continue to offer its Standard Edition product in addition to the new Professional Edition.

The Professional Edition offers all of the applications available in the Standard Edition but with a set of premier applications, making it the optimal communication and collaboration solution available to small and medium-sized businesses and groups. Current Professional Edition features include a task manager, an expense report application, 100MB of storage, priority customer support and wireless access. SSL encryption will be available as an a la carte option on both the Standard and Professional Editions for an additional fee. "Intranets.com prides itself on responding to the needs of our customers," said Steve Crummey, president and CEO of Intranets.com. "We received requests for an intranet that is both free of ads and even richer in its application offering. After extensively polling our members, we decided to offer two tiers of intranet services in order to best address the varied needs of our user base. The Standard Edition continues to receive the upgrades that our users have become accustomed to, and the Professional Edition will receive premium updates, raising the bar for what a Web-based intranet should deliver." Intranets.com continues to build on its customer-centric legacy. During its 18 month history, Intranets.com has integrated numerous customer requested applications, such as threaded discussions and user polling, into its product upgrades. Both editions of the Web-based intranet will continue to receive regular, customer-centric application updates that Intranets.com users have come to expect. "Intranets.com already provides a valuable business tool with their Standard Edition, however I prefer to pay a fee in order to have access to the premium applications that they are offering with the Professional Edition," said Nacif Meriane, director at COGNICASE. "When compared to traditional out-of-the-box intranet solutions, the Professional Edition's fee is nominal and the applications are far richer." "As an Intranets.com partner, the Professional Edition gives us the opportunity to provide our customers with a prolific intranet at a low cost," said Martin Rothchild, CEO of Rothchild Corporation. "The Professional Edition also allows us to deliver customized content to our customers in a co-branded environment without the distraction of third party advertising. We have been using Intranets.com since 1999 and have never found any other service that comes close to matching the product or the first class service. Intranets.com is above and beyond anything on the Internet today. They have set the bar so high that it would be futile for any company to enter their market. Intranets.com got it right the first time!"

Pricing for the Professional Edition starts at $19.95 per month for up to four members, plus $5.00 per month for each additional member. To sign up for an Intranets.com intranet, please visit www.intranets.com, and select either the free Standard Edition or the new Professional Edition.
