TechFoundation and Intranets.com Partnership Offers Benefits of Collaboration Technology to NonProfit Community
Leading Intranet Service Provides Information Sharing Technology to Further Social Missions of NonProfits
Boston, MA (August 5, 2003) - International public charity TechFoundation today announced a partnership with Intranets.com, the leading worldwide provider of web-based intranets. This joint venture will offer non-profit organizations around the country the opportunity to benefit from cutting-edge collaboration technology powered by the online intranet provider.
As part of the partnership agreement, Intranets.com will support TechFoundation's work with the nonprofit community by making its hosted intranet service available through the upcoming launch of programs such as TechMarketplace and TechGrants. The TechMarketplace program provides discounted and donated hardware, software, and services to nonprofit organizations. Through its online marketplace, TechFoundation brings products and tools to the nonprofit community at significant discounts. TechGrants, the grant-giving arm of TechFoundation, offers grants for several of the products and services available in TechMarketplace, further increasing their affordability.
"We are very excited about joining forces with Intranets.com," said Kathleen Sherwin, Manager of External Affairs at TechFoundation. "This partnership is ideal because allows us to offer nonprofits discounted access to an online collaboration infrastructure that will increase their overall productivity and enhance their effectiveness in achieving social missions."
Intranets.com's powerful, integrated applications including Document Manager, Database Manager, Online Calendar, Task Manager and more will allow nonprofit users the ability to schedule special events and fundraisers, download forms, policies and procedures, create a database of volunteers and brainstorm new initiatives with community leaders.
Rick Faulk, CEO of Intranets.com comments, "We're so pleased that our service complements the goals of TechFoundation to provide meaningful technology to the nonprofit community. Our hosted intranets are the perfect solution for these organizations, in part because they facilitate secure, widespread communication among staff, volunteers and sponsors. Even if your members are geographically dispersed, the information on your intranet is available from anywhere, so it unites those working towards a common goal."
TechFoundation expects to roll out the intranet service via its TechMarketplace and TechGrants programs over the next several months.
